April 19, 2017:

In the ‘Results: Stable isotopes in scute layers’ section on p. 285, dashes were added to clarify the ranges in the F and p values. ‘(F1,42 = <0.01 0.30, p = 0.587 0.0.981)’ has been changed to ‘(F1,42 = <0.01–0.30, p = 0.587–0.0.981).’

In the ‘Results: Stable isotopes in scute layers’ section on p. 285, minus signs were erroneously omitted from the δ13C values. ‘Mean δ13C ranged from 17.2 (posterior 2010) to 18.1 has been corrected to ‘Mean δ13C ranged from –17.2 (posterior 2010) to –18.1’.

In the ‘Results: Stable isotopes in scute layers’ section on p. 286, the text ‘Overall, there was a statistically significant δ13C increase (Δ13C) of about 1.0 ‰ from 2010 to 2011 followed by a decline of about 0.35‰’ has been corrected to ‘Overall, there was a statistically significant δ13C decrease (Δ13C) of about 1.0‰ from 2010 to 2011 followed by an increase of about 0.35‰’.

In the ‘Discussion: Foraging and migratory history indicated by δ13C and δ15N’ section on p. 286, the text ‘Our data indicate that δ13C increased after the spill’ has been corrected to ‘Our data indicate that δ13C declined after the spill’.

In the ‘Discussion: Incorporation of oil C’ section on p. 287, minus signs were erroneously omitted from δ13C values. The following corrections have been made:

(1) ‘δ13C in the loggerheads was ca. 15 to 18% before and after the spill’ has been changed to ‘δ13C in the loggerheads was ca. –15 to –18% before and after the spill’.

(2) ‘(δ13C = 27 ± 0.2‰; Carmichael et al. 2012)’ has been changed to ‘(δ13C = –27 ± 0.2‰; Carmichael et al. 2012)’.
