A theme issue of ESR – focusing on bat conservation — is in preparation for publication in late 2008. An important animal group facing a diverse gambit of threats, many bats are in need of conservation action. This special issue of ESR was catalyzed by the largest meeting of bat experts for many years, the 14th International Bat Research Conference.

Relevant manuscripts resulting from the conference and others addressing any aspects of bat conservation research are welcomed. All manuscripts will be published with online open access, and thus high profile and accessibility is assured. To discuss the suitability of a manuscript for inclusion in this ESR Special, please contact Dr. Stephen Rossiter (Editor) or Dr. Brendan Godley (ESR Editor-in-Chief)

CONTENTS

Theme Section articles appear online (as final unpaginated proofs) as soon as they are finalized by the authors. They will be paginated when the Theme Section is complete.
