AB Theme Section 4:

Primary production in seagrasses and macroalgae: closing the GAP between concepts and measurements

Editors: Tom Berman, Ilana Berman-Frank

AB Theme Section 4 presents results of experimental studies conducted during the Eighth International Workshop of the Group on Aquatic Primary Productivity (GAP) held at Eilat, Israel, in April 2008. The contributions to AB Theme Section 4 provide an overview of available and emergent state-of-the-art equipment and methodology for measuring photosynthesis, and examples of its application in field and laboratory experiments, and thus represent an important stepping stone towards the assessment of the effects of global change on marine primary production.
