A few small but important errors have been corrected both online and in print:
1) On p 1, in the second sentence of the abstract, ‘29 adults’ should be ‘30 adults’ and ‘17 of unknown age class’ should be ‘16 of unknown age class’.
2) On p 20, in the paragraph starting with ‘A whale entangled in gear’, the third sentence states 5/8’ but this should be 5/8”
3) On p 21, Table 6, Diagnosis VS for 1970–2002 should read 14 (not 10), and the corresponding Incidence VS should be 0.4 (not 0.3).
4) On p 26, in the paragraph starting with ‘While not necessarily traumatic lesions’, the end of the first sentence says ‘that died from entanglement in 1999’; however, this should say ‘that died from vessel strike in 1999’.
