ESR THEME SECTION

Incorporating climate change into endangered species conservation

As the spectre of climate change moves from a point of debate to an accepted reality, there is a need to incorporate it into all aspects of human activity. This is especially true of conservation efforts aimed at management and recovery of endangered species and habitats, a rapidly growing and fast-moving area of conservation biology research. The research presented in this THEME SECTION highlights some of the major effects of climate change on a variety of species and populations, identifies factors which may be used in assessing or mitigating these impacts, and points to some of the many questions which still remain to be addressed.

As for all current ESR articles, we are pleased to make the online version of this ESR THEME SECTION available with Open Access
